Position: Purchasing Clerk

Location: Lake Mills, WI

  • Procuring materials, equipment and services to meet company requirements in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.  Serve as a resource for internal and external concerns or complaints as to recommend solutions.  Design and implement systems or procedural changes to improve efficiencies and accuracy, to include supplier selection.

Wage: $17.00/hour
Duties:

  • Timely procurement of materials, equipment and services to support company needs through the use of ERP generated reports and Purchase Order Requisitions on a daily basis.
    • Results to be monitored on a weekly basis.
    • Performance measurement tools are as follows: Past Due Purchase Order Report, Purchase Price Variance Report, and Delivery Performance Report.
  • Interact on a regular basis with suppliers.
    • Source and negotiate for existing and new product needs in an effort to add value to Aztalan Engineering products regarding cost savings, product quality, delivery performance and serviceability.
    • Quote, prepare orders and follow-up to expedite delivery.
  • Interact on a regular basis with the following departments:
    • Production Control
      • Regarding shortages and outside services
      • Seek assistance with technical concerns or specification alternatives
      • Scheduling questions
    • Customer Service/Sales
      • Regarding shortages, quotations, technical questions and support
    • Cost Accounting and Administration
      • Report clarification or resolution
  • Business travel will be limited to supplier visits and training.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required to meet time constraints or deadlines and scheduled inventories.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety issues within the work environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Effective verbal communication skills with positive attitude.

  • Proven initiative and accountability.
  • Highly accurate computer data entry skills to include Word, Excel, and ERP software systems.
  • Highly accurate number and visual perception.
  • Effective planning and organization with maximum utilization of time management.
  • Competent with deadlines and pressure with the ability to handle frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to use judgment and independent thinking in the interpretation of data with indirect supervision.
  • High School Diploma/GED, required.
  • Associates or Bachelor Degree, preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License, required.

Job Opening: Driver/Packager

Position: Driver/Packager

Hours:  7am – 3pm, Monday – Friday

Location: Lake Mills, WI

  • Personnel in this position will support the activities of the Shipping and Receiving department, unload trucks and prepare packaging for secure and safe shipment of Aztalan Engineering products. Personnel will also be driving to various locations to deliver/pick up parts using a company vehicle.

Wage: $14.00/hour

Duties:

Receiving

  • Unload trucks utilizing pallet jack, forklift, and/or overhead crane
  • Sign for received goods
  • Initiate freight damage claims for material received damaged and generate Non-Conforming Material Ticket
  • Inspect received material for quality and quantity as it relates to the PO and per ISO specifications
  • Other duties may be assigned

Shipping

  • Prepare and package materials in prefabricated cartons, custom-built wooden crates and/or customer wooden skids/pallets
  • Pick parts orders
  • Inspect parts before being packaged
  • Load trucks utilizing forklift and/or overhead crane
  • Utilize information provided by job experience, actively participate in quality, system, and procedural improvement efforts
  • Assess problems, recommend solutions and enhancements, implement changes and monitor/report progress
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues within the work environment
  • Light assembly
  • Operate cleaning/deburring equipment for preparation of Aztalan Engineering product for shipment
  • Other duties may be assigned

Driving

  • Drive company vehicle to pick up or drop off parts

Valid Driver’s License is Required

High School Diploma/GED/HSED is Required

Position: CNC Machinist

Hours: First Shift: 6am – 2pm (Monday – Friday); Second Shift: 1:45pm – 11:45pm (Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday); Third Shift: 10pm – 6am (Monday – Friday)

Location: Lake Mills, WI

This position is responsible for inspection, and production of precision machined parts on various CNC lathes and milling machines.

Wage Range: Depends on skill level and experience.

Our Key Requirements:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and edit machine code – Preferred
  • CNC Machining experience
  • Capable of calculating and adjusting tool speeds & feeds to match machining conditions
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, their application, and various grades and designations
  • Knowledge of and ability to use tradition inspection tools to verify part dimensions
  • Ability to use CMMs, surface measuring equipment, and optical inspection equipment to verify part dimensions’
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret part prints and Geometric Tolerancing
  • Ability to make recommendations for process improvement
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to use standard shop math and trigonometric functions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

Our Qualifications and Tool Requirements:

In-depth experience gained by schooling, training and on-the-job experience necessary to operate machining centers, vertical mills and single and twin spindle lathes.  Computer skills must be sufficient to operate computerized controls with pre-programmed software systems.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

High School Diploma/GED/HSED is Required.
