Aztalan Engineering has (4) Fadal 4020 Vertical Machining Centers and (6) Okuma MA-40HA Horizontal Machining Centers equipped with automatic tool changers and chip removal systems. One of the Horizontal Machining Centers is equipped with a 10 pallet Flexible Manufacturing System. This system allows for different parts to be scheduled to run on the machine back-to-back with virtually no set-up or changeover time required. The machinist can then perform other tasks, such as gauging or deburring, without interrupting production. This allows the machinist to run a second machine, greatly increasing efficiencies while reducing set-up costs.
