Position: Driver/Packaging

Hours: First Shift:  7:00am – 3:00pm  Monday through Friday

Location: Lake Mills, WI

Personnel in this position will support the activities of the Shipping and Receiving department.  Possess the skills necessary to unload trucks and prepares packaging for secure and safe shipment of Aztalan Engineering products.  Personnel will also be driving to various locations to deliver/pick up parts using a company vehicle.

Wage Range: $12.00+

Our Key Requirements

RECEIVING

  • Unload trucks utilizing pallet jack, forklift, and/or overhead crane
  • Sign for received goods
  • Initiate freight damage claims for material received damaged and generate Non-Conforming Material Ticket
  • Inspection of received material for quality and quantity as it relates to the PO and per ISO 9001 specifications

SHIPPING

  • Prepare and package materials in prefabricated cartons, custom-built wooden crates and/or customer build wooden skids/pallets
  • Pick parts orders when necessary
  • Inspection of parts before being packaged
  • Loads trucks utilizing forklift and/or overhead crane
  • On a daily basis, utilizing information provided by job experience, actively participates in quality, system, and procedural improvement efforts
  • Includes the assessment of problems, recommendations as to solutions and enhancements, implementation of changes and monitor or report on progress
  • Overtime is as required to meet time constraints and deadlines and scheduled training/inventories
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety issues within the work environment
  • May be required to perform miscellaneous duties not described within this description and nothing in this description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties or responsibilities to this job at any time
  • Some light assembly
  • Operating of cleaning/deburring equipment for preparation of Aztalan Engineering product for shipment
  • Driving company vehicle to pick up or drop of parts

Job Opening: Machinist

Position: Machinist

Hours: Second Shift

Location: Lake Mills, WI

This position is responsible for inspection, and production of precision machined parts on various CNC lathes and milling machines.

Wage Range: Depends on skill level and experience.

Our Key Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and edit machine code – Preferred
  • CNC Machining experience
  • Capable of calculating and adjusting tool speeds & feeds to match machining conditions
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, their application, and various grades and designations
  • Knowledge of and ability to use tradition inspection tools to verify part dimensions
  • Ability to use CMMs, surface measuring equipment, and optical inspection equipment to verify part dimensions’
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret part prints and Geometric Tolerancing
  • Ability to make recommendations for process improvement
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to use standard shop math and trigonometric functions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Duties will change as dictated by product demand and customer specifications.  Other duties may be assigned.

Position: Operators

Hours: Second Shift

Location: Lake Mills, WI

  • Ability to change tools and continue running the machine with minimal help
  • Knowledge of and ability to use tradition inspection tools to verify part dimensions
  • Ability to use CMMs, surface measuring equipment, and optical inspection equipment to verify part dimensions
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret part prints
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Machine Operator operates machines as directed by supervisor.  The work is spot-checked in progress and upon completion for compliance with part print, instructions and established procedures.

Job Opening: Quality Engineer

Position: Quality Engineer

Hours: First Shift (Monday – Friday)  7:30am – 3:30pm

Location: Lake Mills, WI

  • This position provides Quality Engineering support for new or revised parts and/or processes; supports Quality department initiatives and tasks; assists with maintaining the Quality Management System; assists with problem solving and continual improvement activities.

Wage Range: $48,000/year – $55,000/year depending on skill level and experience. (Exempt Position)

 Our Key Requirements

  • Provide Quality Engineering support during the introduction of new or revised parts and/or processes
  • Monitor product quality, identify sources of quality problems, and facilitate corrective action solutions
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate studies for quality process improvements and cost reductions utilizing appropriate statistical methods/quality tools
  • Create and maintain manufacturing and inspection work instructions
  • Support Inspection personnel and processes
  • Support machinists and shop floor personnel
  • Work with machinists to prove out new parts and/or prototypes
  • Participate in New Part Meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
