New CNC Swiss Machine Increases Capacity – Supports Faster Lead Times And Competitive Pricing

Aztalan is excited to announce the addition of a DMG Mori Sprint 20|8 automatic turning machine to our already robust lineup of swiss turning machines. This new machine brings many benefits, the fruits of which we can pass on to our customers in terms of flexible scheduling and reduced lead times while maintaining competitive pricing.

The highly productive Sprint 20|8 provides a larger work envelope than our current machines, allowing complete machining of parts up to 0.8 x 23.8 in. This larger envelope coupled with a better tooling station layout promotes a more efficient setup and quick change over –saving time. 

This new technology will increase cut speeds by 10-15%. With the added capacity it gives us, we will have greater flexibility in scheduling, allowing us to better meet our customers' needs.

In addition, the Sprint 20|8 features an oscillating chip breaking option that prevents continuous chips (metal pieces removed during cutting) from wrapping around the part being cut or the tool, which can damage the part or break the tooling. This option will reduce scrap and save money.
